Microbiote II develops a dense field of circular and cellular forms through layers of acrylic, graphite and china marker. Repetition, accumulation and shifting contours create a microscopic landscape in which organic structures appear to expand, divide and dissolve. The work belongs to an earlier abstract phase of Néron’s practice and anticipates her later interest in unstable organic forms and perceptual ambiguity.
