Japanese IV (2020)
Audrey Néron
Acrylic, silk paper, Japanese candy wrapper, pastel, ink and china marker on canvas sheet
20.32 × 25.4 cm (8 × 10 in)
Framed in white

A bird-like figure rises through layers of violet, coral and pale colour, surrounded by collage and drawn marks. The image alternates between recognisable organic form and gestural abstraction, with paper and line creating a shifting, tactile surface.
