Freedom-3 (2020)
Audrey Néron
Acrylic, graphite, silk paper and gold leaf on canvas
25.4 × 20.32 × 0.1 cm (10 × 8 × 0.04 in)
Framed in white

A butterfly form emerges through layered paper, graphite and painted colour, while touches of gold leaf interrupt the surface with reflected light. The compact composition balances a recognisable organic motif with a more fragmented field of gesture and pattern.
