Ceci n'est pas une pipe (2026) Audrey Néron Acrylic, tissue paper and Posca marker on canvas board 25.4 × 25.4 × 0.3 cm (10 × 10 × 0.125 in)
One-of-a-kind original artwork.
Some images become part of our visual memory. Ceci n'est pas une pipe starts from that instant recognition, then shifts it. A familiar art-historical reference becomes a compact Pop Relic about wit, memory and the pleasure of seeing an image change meaning.
The work turns recognition into a more personal experience: something you know at once, then choose to look at again.
