Description
Blooming Choir presents a gathering of organic forms suspended between emergence and dissolution. The composition suggests a collective presence multiple voices converging into a single, silent resonance. Neither fully floral nor entirely corporeal, the forms occupy an in-between space where flesh, petal, and gesture merge.
Part of the Meat and Petals series, this work explores the tension between vulnerability and density, sensuality and abstraction. Layered marks and chromatic shifts create a rhythmic surface, evoking growth, breath, and accumulation. The painting unfolds intuitively, allowing figures to appear, overlap, and recede, as if shaped by an inner pulse rather than a fixed narrative.
Blooming Choir extends Audrey Néron’s ongoing investigation of the body as landscape, where emotional intensity is translated into material presence and painterly movement.
