Description
L’Oeil de Danaé is a vivid and textured piece where abstraction meets mythology. A central eye floats within a vortex of fuchsia pink turquoise and gold suggesting a vision at the heart of chaos.

Inspired by the mythological figure Danaë — a symbol of transformation and divine visitation — this painting reinterprets ancient themes through a contemporary abstract language. Raw graphite lines contrast with vibrant hues while golden drips bring a sacred baroque atmosphere.

The surface is richly layered inviting both visual and tactile exploration. The tension between control and spontaneity reveals an expressive equilibrium a hallmark of Néron’s abstract series.

Artist’s Note
I remember creating this piece in an instinctive almost visceral flow. The eye emerged at the center of the canvas like a truth — a presence that watches resists pierces. I was exploring the boundary between abstraction and symbol searching for a way to shape the unseen.
L’Oeil de Danaé was born from the need for a gaze that sees beyond an ancient and fiercely alive vision.
